Honda is offering the final version of its upcoming NSX Type S. In fact, this one is what is calling the last hurrah for Honda’s high-powered hybrid. Yet, it isn’t the only news that is about the brand’s flagship. The HPD (Honda Performance Development) did just announcing that the enhancing NSX GT3. It is going to be seen moving around on racetracks around the entire globe next year.

Honda NSX GT3

Four years ago, the NSX GTE was introduced to race teams. It was draped in a carbon fiber body. In fact, sans the hybrid system, yet filled with a subsequent six-speed transmission. It came with and a price tag of about half a million dollars. Team have between jumping behind the wheel of the race-only offering, since that time. They have found success. That includes 25 class wins in IMSA GTD and SRO GT competition. The vehicle is presenting servicing as the GTD and SRO GT Manufacturer’s champion.
 

Honda Adds a Label to Name

The NSX GT3, this time around, gets the Evo22 label added to its name. Moreover, along with some updates to help make it even more competitive. In fact, namely the improved intercoolers for a better charge cooling and more consistent performance. This is regardless of the weather conditions. In fact, Honda has also modified both the spring rates and suspension geometry to maximize the grip. 

Fluid Tank Sizing

There is increased fluid tank sizing which will allow them more time on the track. Then less time refilling. This is for endurance racers. In fact, while there is unspecified wheel system with revisions that are said to allow for faster tire changes. New variant options are available for headlights. As well an air conditioning system. Plus an FIA-mandated rain light. 

 

Evo22 Chassis

The new Evo22 chassis will originate from Hond’s Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio, like the NSX GT3. This is before it will be delivered to JAS Motorsport in Milan. The experts will take on final assembly from there. Then there are the pertinent adjustment to deliver a turn-key race car. Moreover, they will provide the technical support for the vehicles along with replacement parts sales. The homologated through 2024 is the project is already that is road ready and ready to rev!
