Electric cars are becoming more popular, and many car companies are adding them to their lineups. From big names like Acura and Audi to newer ones like Lucid and Canoo, there’s a lot of buzz about upcoming electric vehicles. Here’s a sneak peek at some of them:
Acura ZDX: Acura’s first electric vehicle is set to debut early next year. It’s a midsize crossover with a big battery that can go up to 325 miles on a single charge. There will be two versions: one with 340 horsepower and rear-wheel drive, and another with 500 horsepower and all-wheel drive. Prices are expected to start around $60,000.
Bentley EV: Bentley’s first electric vehicle has been delayed to 2027 due to software issues. It will ride on a platform shared with other Volkswagen Group brands and offer a range of at least 373 miles.
Lamborghini: Lamborghini is gearing up to say goodbye to its iconic V-12 engines and V-10 powertrains, as they pave the way for a new generation of electric supercars that promise the same level of excitement and driving experience. Enter the 2028 Lanzador, Lamborghini’s upcoming electric grand tourer that combines elements from the rugged Huracán Sterrato and the sleek Urus SUV. Sporting a 2+2 layout, this concept boasts striking design features including bulging fender flares and the signature Lamborghini aesthetic.
Kia: Kia’s electric ambitions extend beyond crossovers, with the unveiling of the EV4 concept in 2023 hinting at a forthcoming battery-powered sedan. Embracing a distinctive design language characterized by angular elements, the EV4 shares similarities with its crossover counterpart, the EV3, boasting a unique sloping roofline and a minimalist interior layout with concealed controls for a sleek dashboard. While specifics about the production model remain scarce, it’s anticipated to debut by 2026.
Hyundai Ioniq 7: While currently showcased as a concept, Hyundai’s design trajectory suggests that the production version of the Ioniq 7 could feature even more daring aesthetics. Given its larger size, expectations are high for a substantial battery pack capable of delivering at least 300 miles of range, positioning the Ioniq 7 as a competitive offering in the electric SUV segment.
